Literature Text

I am running through the forest, feeling the wind caress my fur. I search for prey, yet it has run short, and I am forced to find something my mate and my pups can eat. Suddenly, I see movement in the bushes. At first, only a small tremble, but then it shakes more and more until a white creature jumps out, then pauses to check its surroundings. I stand very still, for the hare is rare to find in this season of cold. When it turns around with its back to me, I lunge forward, and grab the rodent by its neck. I flail it viciously around, and I don't stop until it ceases its struggles. As I am about to make for my den, a strange creature walks forward from the shadows. Not on four legs, like most walk, but on only two. What strange beast is this that only needs two legs to walk? Soon I would have my answer. The beast walked in its odd two-legged walk to my position, and lowered itself. Its face was unlike any I'd seen before. It had no snout, and its nose was oddly shaped. Its eyes weren't angled quite as much as most creatures are, and when it opened its mouth, I saw it had no fangs. It reached down, and I was astounded when I saw it pull something out of its pelt. It looked like a vine, yet not quite like a vine. The creature tied the vine-thing around my neck, and I resisted. I wanted to bring the food I'd caught back  to my starving family. Furious, the beast picked up a rock and threw it at me. The pain and amazement I then felt immediately made me obey. This beast had the power to control non-living things, and make them obey it! Truly this is a wondrous power it has. I followed it, and found a large outdoor den filled with them. They had odd cone things that they came out of and went into. The creature brought me before a bundle of wood, which it proceeded to light with fire. It could make fire! Truly this was a wondrous creature indeed-not just a creature, in fact, but a god. These gods had amazing powers, and were to be respected and obeyed. I saw others like myself. However, they also felt different. These were wolves who'd given up on the wild generations ago. Soon I saw that the gods were taking their things and putting them on an object led by a team of the not-wolf-beasts. I was to follow my new master behind the object. As we walked along the path with the gods, I'd just realized with horror that I may never see my family again, and that even worse, they may not live through the winter. And so I had traded my family for a life with gods. Take heed of my story, and remember who I was before it began. I was wolf, but now I am dog, and must follow my gods. This story shall continue for generations to come...
This is a story to show what dogs and their kin think of humans. Wolves do not attack out of anger, but out of fear. Remember this.

This is my story, therefore it is theft if you use it without my permission. If you must share it with someone, give them a link to it.
